we revisited Lucy’s bridge last night. our team consisted of Anthony, Kerrie, Ellen and Wenda. We also met Margaret and Richard Pearson who live nearby.
We had an initial walk around the area and started on Lucy’s bridge exploring the bridge and surrounding area. We went down the Horbury end and went down by the riverside, very oppressive feeling down there…
We went back up to Broadcut canal area but the feeling up there was very flat and we weren’t getting any activity so the decision was taken to go back to Lucy’s bridge and explore the riverside area.
Well what a decision that was……
We got back onto Lucy’s bridge and Ellen reached for her protection necklace which has a small bottle of salt and pentagram pendant on… it wasn’t there, the cord had come undone but Ellen hadn’t felt the items slip down.
We continued onto the riverside area and could feel the oppressiveness all around us, we went back and did our opening prayer to protect ourselves against anything that might be around, this is a most important part of any investigation as we need to safeguard ourselves against anything that may wish to try cause us harm etc.
We continued along the riverbank with a wooded area on our other side, we could hear the night time noises coming from the woods and also the odd flap of bird wings up above us.. Our torch lights we reflecting on debris on the ground amongst the shrubbery making it look like lights or eyes looking at us.. these sights and sounds in the darkness added to the eerie feeling around us. Kerrie began to sense things around us, she could sense marching soldiers, soldiers that she felt marched into a war but didn’t return…. she could feel lots of spirits trying to communicate all at once and this was overpowering, she felt like this area had never been investigated and because we were there that all the spirits wanted to communicate at once.
We were looking upwards into the trees when suddenly I felt like I had something or someone around my throat and was tightening around my windpipe, then a feeling of a blow or stab to my shoulder then all of a sudden my voice broke very horsely, something was affecting me and it wasnt good. Kerrie felt very oppressed at this point too something very sinister was there and we needed to move away…quickly
We did a closing prayer to ward off any evil or nasty presense that was around us at that time, we were drained and needed a break.
During our break we meet a couple of our lovely members Margaret and Richard Pearson who reside on a barge which is moored at Broadcut, we had a lovely chat with them both and Margaret decided she would come back with us to have a quick table tipping session on Lucy’s bridge.
It was during the break that Ellen found her pendants that were missing and they were around where we had parked the car….
The atmosphere on Lucy’s bridge by this time had gone very flat and the table tipping didn’t show us any results, but Kerrie felt the need to go to the other end of the bridge and once again had to ward off the spirits.
Our night concluded….
We feel this place needs another investigation but will need the help of another mediums strength to do a investigation justice…. We will return
